Every Community District in Calgary is designated to a Hockey Calgary Community Hockey Association and Elite Hockey Association. If you do not know which Association you belong to please refer to the Calgary Association List. The List contains the names of each Hockey Calgary Community Association along with the Community Districts that are designated to it and the Association website.
Each Association webpage will detail their registration process (registration is on-line). If you have any questions a registration contact for the association should be present on their webpage. Alternatively, you can contact the Hockey Calgary office and we would be happy to assist you. Contact Hockey Calgary

If a player wishes to register with a Hockey Association other than their designated Association they must complete the Player Release Request form available under the Forms button. Requests are considered based upon the Release Criteria as described on that page. Players are not eligible to register at their preferred Association without notiifcation from the Hockey Calgary Registrar that their release has been approved.
Player age as of December 31 of the current season
Hockey Canada does permit overage players but only under very specific conditions. It should be noted the instance of Overage Status is more prevalent in rural leagues - the number of teams and divisions in the Calgary leagues provide a better opportunity for beginner players or those with limited skill to participate within their proper age category. On average, Hockey Calgary approves one (1) or two (2) overage players every season, generally for health related reasons. For more information please follow this link: Overage Application
