“Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It’s helping them to learn rather than teaching them” – Tim Gallwey
Hockey Calgary is proud to present the Hockey Calgary Coach Night Series brought to you by Score Hockey Range. The Series is aimed at bringing coaches together to learn some new skills, to share ideas, and to 'nerd out' with a group of passionate coaches.
Idea sharing is an important part of coaching. The Hockey Calgary Coach Night Series is the beginning of an initiative to create a community network of coaches in the city of Calgary to facility idea and resource sharing and support. With the help and involvement of great coaches, we will improve our base and push each other to get better and in turn, improve the development and experience of children playing the great game of hockey.
New This Season: Original 16 celebrates things done well, and that’s why we’ve teamed up to announce an incredible opportunity—at each Coach Night Series event, we will be giving away 2 tickets to an action-packed Calgary Wranglers game! Simply attend the event for your chance to win! The lucky winner will be contacted via email approximately one week after the event with information on how to claim their prize.

Stacy Allen Bio: I am a Calgary resident with over 25 years of skating experience. I have coached internationally with a specialty in children aged 6 – 16 years old. I have an extensive hockey background with a record of success, including winning three national championships as well as a silver medal with the University of Alberta. My power skating career started with Skate Canada as a junior instructor at the age of 12, and received certification at age 17. I have owned and coached at many hockey schools in Canada and the United States. I average 1000 athlete's every year. Today my focus is on consulting minor hockey teams, private lessons and running various camps. Hockey is a marathon and not a race, it takes time and dedication to improve your skills. Skating muscles are unique training compared to any other sport. I focus on the mental training as well, learning how to push your body and positive self talk is a skill and takes time to develop.
