HOCKEY CALGARY LAUNCHES RESPECT PROGRAM
CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey players and parents are asked to share what they see and hear at Calgary arenas. Using the power of social media, players and parents are encouraged to text or email their observations to a new service devoted to capturing their feedback. New signs are being placed in Calgary rinks this weekend offering the simple details of the program.
There are three ways to contact Hockey Calgary with your respect experiences:
1. Text the word RESPECT to 82442
2. Visit www.hockeycalgary.ca/respect
3. Scan the QR code on the sign
“We teach kids so much through hockey and respect should be no exception because they will carry it with them their whole lives,” said Hockey Calgary President Todd Millar. “Parents, coaches and officials have to be role models for kids. We’re hoping this program will be another reminder to act respectfully towards each other. We want to hear how people are behaving in our rinks, whether it's positive or negative.”
