Over the last two years a research team from Mount Royal University has been collecting data for a three-year study examining the perceived effect of the Respect in Sport parent program implemented, in 2010, by Hockey Calgary. The aim of the study is to see if the program has an effect on parental behavior at hockey games and practices. In other words, if the culture of parent behavior at hockey games and practices has changed since the implementation of the program.
In an effort to continue to examine perceived changes we are once again asking for your participation in the study.
The third and final year of this research study involves completing an online survey which includes both close-ended and open-ended question. We are asking for participation from parents/guardians/coaches/officials that completed the Respect in Sport program for either the 2010/2011, 2011/2012 and the 2012/2013 hockey seasons.
If you completed the Respect in Sport online program for the 2010/2011 hockey season please complete this survey
If you completed the Respect in Sport online program for the 2011/2012 hockey season please complete this survey
If you completed the Respect in Sport online program for the current year (2012/2013) hockey season please complete this survey
If you have any questions please contact Julie Booke at 403-440-6986 or respectinsport@mtroyal.ca
Once again we thank you for taking the time to make the sport of hockey a safer and more enjoyable experience for all.
