Hockey Calgary would like to congratulate Adam Lowry from Bow Valley/Calgary Buffaloes and Brody Sutter from Calgary Buffaloes Hockey Association for being selected for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Adam Lowry, the son of former NHL forward Dave Lowry, has been selected as the 67th pick in the 3rd round to the new Winnipeg Jets. Born Mar 29, 1993, Lowry has been a left winger for the Swift Current Broncos for the last two seasons. At 6’4, he’s not the little guy he was growing up playing for Hockey Calgary member association Bow Valley.
His brother Joel Lowry also was selected in the NHL Entry Draft going 140th overall in the 5th round to the Los Angeles Kings.
Brody Sutter, A right wing for the Lethbridge Hurricanes for the last three seasons, has been selected in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft to the Carolina Hurricanes #193 overall in the 7th round. Drafted out of his draft year, Brody joins his cousins Brandon and Brett as Carolina Hurricanes picks.
Growing up he played for the Calgary Buffaloes Hockey Association.
