HOCKEY CALGARY AND KIDSPORT TO HOLD EQUIPMENT DRIVE ON JUNE 21
CALGARY, Alta. – On Saturday, June 21, Hockey Calgary, in conjunction with KidSport, will hold a minor hockey equipment drive (U18) that will benefit children who require assistance to play minor hockey.
The equipment drive coincides with Sport Calgary’s “ALL SPORT ONE DAY” initiative in Calgary.
The equipment donated will be distributed through the first ever Comrie’s Sports Equipment Bank, which will open in August 2014. The equipment will be cleaned and repaired to be provided free of charge to children in need of assistance for the 2014-15 minor hockey season.
Comrie’s Sports Equipment Bank has been made possible by a partnership between Hockey Calgary, KidSport Calgary, Hockey Canada Foundation, the NHL’s Calgary Flames, the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen, Sport Calgary, Hockey Alberta and the WHL. Details on the Comrie’s Sports Equipment Bank location and opening will be announced at a later date.
