2015-06-10 - Many hockey associations and governing bodies across Canada are currently reviewing the inclusion of body-checking in the Bantam and Midget levels of community hockey. These hockey communities are typically making changes to either remove body-checking from the lower levels, offering an enhanced Recreational league that includes practices, or creating a separate non body-checking league for players who wish to play competitive hockey but prefer not to body-check.

2015-03-18 - Hockey Alberta's Small Area Games Camp is a six-week program running March 24 to April 30 at NESS and features two 1hr on-ice sessions per week. Each on-ice session will start with a series of skill development stations, followed by small area games, which are used to teach individual skills and tactics in a fun and competitive environment. With a lower number of participants than a traditional game and special rules, small area games focus on the development of specific skills by increasing puck touches and situational repetitions.
